Cold email costs the sender nothing. Now it costs a stamp.
Ziftwo screens your Gmail. People you know get through as always. Strangers' emails are set aside, and the sender is asked to buy a stamp to get their message delivered. Most cold outreach never pays, so it never reaches you.
How it works
-
1 An email arrives
Ziftwo checks whether you know the sender: you've emailed them before, they're in your Google Contacts, they're a verified colleague on your company domain, or the thread already carries a stamp.
-
2 Known senders pass untouched
Nothing changes for the people you actually deal with. Their email lands in your inbox as always.
-
3 Strangers are held
Their thread moves out of your inbox onto a
Ziftwo/Heldlabel, and Ziftwo sends them one polite email with a link to buy a stamp. Nothing is deleted. -
4 A stamp delivers it
One stamp puts that thread back in your inbox, and the conversation in it keeps coming through. Their next new thread needs a new stamp, until you reply to them.
-
5 Otherwise it goes to Trash
If they don't buy a stamp and you don't reply within 14 days, the thread moves to Trash, where Gmail keeps it for another 30 days.
Questions
Which inboxes does it work with?
Gmail only, for now.
What does a stamp cost?
$2.50, sold in packs of 8 for $20. One stamp delivers one thread, like postage on a letter. Leftover stamps never expire and work for any Ziftwo inbox.
What if I want to hear from someone who was held?
Deliver their thread from your dashboard, or just reply to them. Replying marks them as someone you know from then on, so they never need a stamp again.
Do I get the stamp money?
Not today. Stamps are Ziftwo's revenue while it's in early access.
Why "early access"?
Apps that read Gmail go through Google's security review. Until that finishes, we onboard people by hand, and Google will show an "unverified app" warning when you connect.
